As a leading force in France’s green space and landscaping sector, Osmaïa is reinforcing its commitment to become a benchmark for ecological transition by strengthening its national market presence. The strategic acquisition of the Mugo group, known for its expertise in green space maintenance and its innovative approach to biodiversity, particularly through urban greening and beekeeping services, is a crucial step in this direction.
Founded in 2009 by brothers Benjamin and Gautier La Combe, Mugo is a key partner for Osmaïa’s expansion in France, bringing valuable expertise in areas vital to ecological sustainability.
A stronger network and complementary expertise
Through this operation, Osmaïa strengthens its presence in Île-de-France, while expanding its territorial network, notably in Lyon, Bordeaux, Chantilly and Rouen. Mugo’s 500 employees and 20 agencies complement Osmaïa’s existing 2,000 employees and 40 locations, bringing the group’s revenue to nearly 250 million euros. The acquisition of this maintenance specialist also allows Osmaïa to strengthen this activity, which already represented 60% of the group’s revenue before the operation. The two groups are already very complementary: Osmaïa, historically well established in public markets, now relies on Mugo’s recognized expertise to expand its activities in private markets, particularly with major accounts and facility managers.
Innovative solutions for a sustainable future
This acquisition demonstrates the common goal of Osmaïa and Mugo to develop practical solutions for the environmental and climate challenges we face. Together, the two groups will expand their service portfolio to support communities and businesses in their ecological transition.
« This alliance with Mugo enables us to consolidate our presence in the Île-de-France region and across country, broaden our range of services and address the increasing demands of our clients in their ecological transition initiatives. »
« Mugo’s expertise in urban beekeeping, urban farm management and indoor greening opens new perspectives for our clients, allowing us to support cities and businesses in deploying nature-based solutions. »
——— Eric Bouichet, Osmaïa’s CEO
A common vision to build a European leader
Mugo’s founders, Benjamin and Gautier La Combe, fully embrace this ambition and retain a stake in Osmaïa’s capital. They also join the group’s executive committee as general secretary and sales director.
« Our industry is experiencing significant consolidation within a fragmented market. Since 2009, the Mugo group has played an active role in this transformation through an ambitious strategy of organic and external growth. Our aim is to integrate the Mugo group with the national leader to create a European force capable of meeting the needs of its clients and supporting their ecological transition at the local and organizational levels. »
——— Benjamin et Gautier La Combe, Mugo Group’s Founders
